Microswitches are miniature and subminiature
The Alcoswitch range of microswitches from Tyco Electronics offer a wide variety of options to cover the widest possible number of applications.
The switch body is constructed from thermoplastic.
Metal body actuators are also available in round and square versions.
The switches are suitable for 22mm diameter fixings.
The control switch range encompasses maintained and momentary push button devices, illuminated and nonilluminated versions, key and long handle selector switches, pilot lights as well as mushroom and emergency stop pushbutton switches.
The range carries all relevant safety approvals, including CSA, CE and UL.
Further, a wide range of accessories is available.
Thermoplastic bodies are centrally fixed by a new ergonomically designed lock nut, which can be easily and safely fitted by hand or by using the installation tool.
Operating temperature is -25 to +80C, and mechanical life spans vary from 200,000 up to 6 million operations depending on the type of switch.
In addition, the nonilluminated pushbutton switches and pilot lights are available in colours according to IEC/EN60204-1.
The switch range is complemented by a wide range of contact blocks and power supplies that have a 'quick connect' locking system and can be wired independently from the switch body for a high degree of flexibility and easy installation and maintenance.
The modular contact blocks come with screw or fast-on terminals, 24 to 600V rated voltage, 10 to 1.6A rated current, short circuit protection to 1kA and meet the requirements for C Group (VDEO1106) and Class II (CEI 23-11). Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
