Tyco Electronics is offering a wide range of modular control switches and indicating units, under the Alcoswitch brand.
Ratings range from 0.1 to 16A for the miniature range of switches and 5A for the subminiature range.
Configurations include SPDT (single-pole, double-throw), SPNC (single-pole, normally closed) and SPNO (single-pole, normally open).
Meeting UL, CSA and VDE safety requirements, the 16 and 5A switches in the miniature range are specified for operation from -20 to +130C to a maximum relative humidity of 85%.
Other specifications include 15mohm contact resistance, 0.2 to 1000mm/s operating speed, electrical life rating of over 100,000 operations, shock resistance without lever of 300mm/s2 (or around 30G) and vibration resistance without lever of 1.5mm at 10 to 55Hz for 2h.
A low-current version, rated at 0.1A is also available with a wider operating temperature range of -30 to +130C and an electrical life of over 1 million operations.
All switches in the miniature range deliver a mechanical life expectancy in excess of 10 million operations.
Rated at 5A, the subminiature range of switches offer a maximum contact resistance of 50mohm and a specified for operation from -25 to +85C.
Carrying UL and CSA approvals, the switches feature a high degree of resistance to shock and vibration. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
