Chip resistors take precision pole
position

The RN73 series of precision chip resistors offers temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) values down to 5ppm/C and resistor tolerances to 0.1%.

The RN73 series of precision chip resistors offers temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) values down to 5ppm/C and resistor tolerances to 0.1% The RN73C2A (0805) standard range now includes values from 10R to 150K in E96 values

And the RN73C1J (0603) product is now fully available in E96 values within the range 10R to 50K.

Based on Ni-chrome thin-film technology, the devices are produced with three sputtered layers of resistive metal film.

Very stable high-frequency performance is achieved, with operation over the -55 to +125C temperature range.

Load derating occurs over 70C.

Suffixes on the product name denote, in order: temperature coefficient, chip size, resistance value, tolerance and package quantity.

TCR values of +/-5 and +/-10ppm/C are denoted in the part number by the letters A and C.

The RN73 series devices are available in a range of packages, with 0805 and 0603 as standard.

Part numbers either carry the suffix 1J, 2A or 2B, referring to 0603, 0805 and 1206 devices, respectively.

Resistance values are denoted by 100R, 1K0 and 100K, covering respective values of 100ohm, 1kohm and 100kohm.

Accurate and uniform physical dimensions facilitate placement of the devices, which are available in tape-and-reel packaging.

RN73 chip resistors are available direct from Tyco Electronics or through its distributors.

Stocks are available from Farnell. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
