A new range of surface-mount D-sub connectors offers an innovative solution for next generation designs.

Tyco Electronics introduces a new D-sub connector for surface mounting, providing an innovative solution for next generation designs.

Using key design features to ensure efficient and reliable processing, surface mounting of this industry standard interface connector becomes a reality for an increasingly wide range of applications.

Large die-cast mounting brackets at the rear of the connector provide a controlled centre of gravity, for secure positioning during assembly, and also ensure excellent mechanical stability and electrical grounding.

Fully pick and place capable without force the connector may be processed efficiently with standard vacuum placement equipment.

A low 3.6mm mounting height saves valuable space between circuit boards.

Available in 9- to 37-position plug and socket variants, connectors feature steel, tin-plated front shells with black thermoplastic housings and 0.80um gold-plated contacts.

Hardware options include 4-40 or M3 threaded inserts or screwlocks, or 3mm plain hole.

All materials are compliant with the RoHS Directive.
