Handheld printer is flexible about
identification

The T107M printer is a heavy-duty tool that combines an affordable, easy to use, ruggedised handheld thermal transfer printer with labels and heat shrink tubing developed for tough applications.

Tyco Electronics has developed a new industrial handheld printer for nearly all industrial labelling requirements The T107M printer is a heavy-duty tool that combines an affordable, easy to use, ruggedised handheld thermal transfer printer with labels and heat shrink tubing developed for tough applications

Special "hot key" functionality gives the user the power of wire and cable, wrapping, patch panel, module marking, fixed length, serialisation and vertical printing at their fingertips.

The T107M thermal transfer printer also includes commonly used electrical and datacomms symbols like ohm, ground, phone, data and fax and also prints code 39 and code 128 barcodes.

An extra large 30-character backlit displays as well as oversized keys provide a simple user interface.

The handheld printer comes in a bright orange colour, ensuring it will not get lost in any tool box, and features a rubber bumper for extra protection.

The new device is also available in a kit including a hard carry case, six AA batteries, AC power adapter, one 19mm white flexible nylon tape and one 12mm white permanent polyester tape.

The T107M handheld printer compliments the other thermal transfer printers supplied by Tyco Electronics, and will provide on-site, on-demand identification and labelling solutions.

The print media are supplied in easy-to-install cassettes, including ribbon, and include the following types.

Tyco Electronics' 3:1 ratio heat shrink tubing is designed to meet military specifications and wire and cable marking needs of customers with high performance permanence requirements.

Made from durable, flame-retarded, radiation-crosslinked, heat-shrinkable polyolefin, Tyco Electronics' tubing can be used in a wide variety of applications.

The marker sleeves meet the performance requirements of SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/5 classes 1 and 3 and the mark permanence requirements of SAE AS81531 4.6.2 and MIL-STD-202F both before and after shrinking.

Tyco Electronics' nylon cloth is very flexible with a permanent adhesive, designed for application to irregular surfaces where conformability is required.

It's ideal for wire marking and other round or flexible surfaces such as cables and tubing.

The nonadhesive polypropylene tag can be used as an insert to Tyco Electronics' range of iKC and iMC wire and cable marker carriers.

The material combines excellent strength properties with high print quality and can also be used to identify patch panels and modular component marking.

Tyco Electronics' coloured vinyl film with a permanent acrylic adhesive offers excellent conformability to round, irregular or flexible surfaces and is ideal for wire and cable identification including flat ribbon cables that are subject to repeated bending.

Available in several colours, vinyl film can also be used as a highly visible form of colour coding.

The material is resistant to oil, solvent and outdoor exposure.

A polyester film with a permanent acrylic adhesive makes the labels ideal for barcoding, PCB and component labelling as well as general labelling applications that require a high durability label.

This material also offers resistance to UV, oil, chemical and abrasion. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
