Heat shrink grommets suit military
connectors

Raychem brand Shrinkhoop URHR cable clamp heat shrink grommets allow for ultrahigh shrink ratios up to 10:1.

New from Tyco Electronics, Raychem brand Shrinkhoop URHR cable clamp heat shrink grommets allow for ultrahigh shrink ratios up to 10:1 This ultrahigh shrink ratio enables three grommet sizes to accommodate nearly all popular connector sizes and cable arrangements

As no build-up taping or feeding of the wire through the grommet is required, assembly time is significantly reduced, and typical installation takes just 10-20s.

Additionally, new Shrinkhoop URHR cable clamp heat shrink grommets provide improved cable strain relief by conforming tightly, after shrinking, to the wire bundle.

Furthermore, they can also be re-expanded and reshrunk to accommodate repairs, inspections and adjustments, further enhancing product flexibility.

Shrinkhoop URHR cable clamp heat shrink grommets are specifically designed for use with a number of military and aerospace connector systems, including MIL-C-5015, MIL-C-26500, MIL-C-26482, MIL-C-83723 (Series I, II and III), MIL-C-38999 (Series I, Series II and Series III) when saddle clamp style strain relief is used.

Additionally, the grommets meet several Boeing connector specifications.

To use the new product, installers and assemblers place the grommet over the cable assembly after the connector has been pinned.

From there, the grommet is shrunk in place, and the cable clamp is fastened. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
