A new family of coax connectors, specifically designed to meet the price-performance requirements of commercial RF applications has been announced by Tyco Electronics.
Target applications are domestic appliances such as oven controls, microwaves and heating, as well as power supplies.
Faston terminals, included for the load side, are available as either vertical or horizontal fixing.
The devices are available with single pole normally open or normally closed contacts.
RF Faston power relays feature a coil power of 400mW and reinforced insulation in accordance with EN61810, 60335 and 60730.
The WG version is fabricated using materials in accordance with the new IEC60335-1 clause 30 requirements, especially important for applications in domestic appliances.
Operating temperature range is -40 to +120C, mechanical life is 30 million cycles, and operate/release time is 10ms.
