Compact connection system finds new uses

M8/M12 connector system finds increasing applications outside the traditional process and factory automation sector.

The M8/M12 connector system from Tyco Electronics provides reliable connection to sensors and related products in the key industrial machinery and factory automation markets An established connection standard, M8/M12 connectors also find growing application outside of these industries where a compact connection system with environmental protection is required

The Tyco Electronics range of M8/M12 products comprises the most popular variants of this connector family enabling versatile systems to be quickly and easily established.

Single end terminated cable assemblies use an overmoulded construction with a choice of PVC or PUR cables in 2 to 10m lengths.

Within the M12 cable assembly range, additional options include screening and LED indication.

Panel mount products are offered with a choice of solder cup or PCB termination.

For rewiring on site a range of field serviceable connectors are provided, while Y adapters facilitate simple splitting of control signals.

All products offer a minimum of IP67 protection.

Additional options are available on request including B and D coded M12 products, alternative mounting arrangements for panel mount connectors and double ended cable assemblies.
