Compact relay range adds more options

Fourth-generation telecomms relay range now includes high-sensitivity, ultrasensitive, high-isolation and high-current versions.

Having recently extended its range of polarised two-pole telecomms/signal relays, Tyco Electronics now offers one of the broadest and smallest ranges of fourth-generation telecomms relays in one package Benefiting from a low profile (5.65mm) and slim case design (10 x 6mm), the Axicom IM series relay range now features a high-sensitivity version (100mW coil), an ultrasensitive version (50mW coil), a high-isolation version (1.5kV RMS, 2.5kV pulse) and a high-current version (5A)

A shielded version is available on request.

All new IM series relays plus the standard version fit on the same pad layout.

Available in four different mounting designs (two through hole and two surface mount options) and as latching (with one coil) and nonlatching (with one coil) versions, Axicom IM series relays feature a switching current of 2 or 5A, two changeover contacts (two form-C/DPDT) and gold-plated bifurcated contacts.

Further technical details include a high surge capability (1.2/50 and 10/700us) meeting Telcordia GR 1089, FCC Part 68 and ITU-T K20, 21, 45 requirements and a high mechanical shock resistance (up to 50g functional and up to 500g survival).

All Axicom IM series relays are hermetically sealed (RT V).

Key applications for Axicom IM series relays are communications equipment, office and business equipment, measurement and control equipment, consumer electronics (set top boxes and hi-fi), automotive as well as medical equipment. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
