A new universal service and maintenance toolkit, ideal for low volume production, prototyping and repair, is now available from Tyco Electronics.

Equipped with one base hand tool and four interchangeable diesets, the versatile kit is extremely cost-effective and perfectly suited to a wide range of industries.

Incorporating diesets compatible with insulated closed terminals and splices, open barrel F-crimp, closed barrel W-crimp and wire end ferrules, Tyco Electronics' universal service and maintenance toolkit can crimp a variety of contacts with wire sizes from 28 to 8 AWG.

Available with a hard-wearing case, and incorporating a rugged design to provide durability in harsh environments, the handtool features an integrated, releasable ratchet mechanism to ensure a complete crimp cycle, and guarantee high-quality crimp connections.

As well as being compatible with Tyco Electronics contacts, the diesets included with the universal kit are also suitable for crimping a range of similar contacts from other manufacturers.

In addition, the kit is available with a customer logo on product handles for orders from 100 pieces.
