Rayolon sealing sleeve is a re-usable, heavy-duty sleeve that offers the solution for sealing connectors and splices against moisture and corrosion

Rayolon sealing sleeve, from the Raychem Wire and Harnessing Division of Tyco Electronics Corporation, is a re-usable, heavy-duty sleeve that offers the solution for sealing connectors and splices against moisture and corrosion.

It is installed without heating tools and ideal for exposed marine above-deck and offshore installations, or for any location where the use of heat sources or open flame is either prohibited or involves the need to make special arrangements.

The Rayolon sleeve comprises a length of flexible EDPM tubing folded back upon itself, lubricated and welded to form a continuous tubular belt, which travels along a cylindrical substrate unaffected by variable geometries.

Once moved into position, a mated connector or a splice is sealed with either mastic or gel tape, located at the sleeve ends, to provide a high integrity seal against environmental attack.

This will prevent corrosion and damage to connectors and splices.

Re-entry is achieved by rolling away the protective sleeve, which enables maintenance, repair and retrofitting tasks to be undertaken, after which it can be rolled back into place and resealed.

This can be repeated many times with no loss of performance.

Supplied as a kit, with all the components required, Rayolon sleeves are offered in a choice of lengths and sealing options and come with simple step-by-step installation instructions.
