Tyco Electronics offers customers a single source supply opportunity for MIL-STD-1553B Databus networks, with its extensive range of Raychem components and ready-assembled harnesses.

The world's largest manufacturer of these high-performance products, Tyco Electronics has developed a complete range of interconnecting hardware for MIL-STD-1553B multiplexing requirements - either as components or as ready-assembled harnesses in accordance with customer drawings.

The company has been producing these specialist components for over 20 years and, in progressively reducing their size and cost, has remained at the forefront of developments in this market.

It has employed its proprietary material technologies to achieve optimum performance from ever smaller and lighter databus components, designed to deliver greater packing density and weight savings and extend design flexibility.

The success of this development has led to their specification on many modern military aircraft and military ground vehicles.

The high performance range is rated to 150C and encompasses: couplers; cables with specified shielding levels; triaxial connectors and contacts; bus and stub terminators; and cable identification sleeves.

Tyco Electronics can provide innovative solutions for even the most complex aerospace requirements and a customised portable ruggedised Databus Network Test Kit, which offers the complete network testing solution for the military fleet or platform operator.

In addition to high performance components, Tyco Electronics can also supply complete databus networks in accordance with customer harness design drawings.

Factory-built harnesses eliminate unnecessary splices and connectors, reducing the cost and increasing the reliability of the networks.
