Bandstrap adapters provide relief

Bandstrap adapters feature a corrosion-resistant steel band, which is installed around the braid, tightened using the integral ratchet, and secured with a special buckle design that allows the band to be held under tension for the one-step cut-and lock in place operation.

This creates an effective electrical connection between braid and adaptor.

The terminated cable is protected and sealed by a tough, adhesive-lined, heat-shrinkable moulded shape, which adds further reinforcement to the strain relief.

Tyco Electronics offers its Raychem Bandstrap adapters with a choice of straight or precoiled bands and with various options to suit special harnessing requirements.

This latest product introduction extends the choice of braid termination methods offered within the Raychem range of military and commercial connector accessories - a range that also includes the popular heat-recoverable Tinel-Lock rings for which there are techniques to allow re-entry for retrofits and repairs.
