The Slim I/O connector system is capable of performing at gigabit speeds and specifically designed to enhance the I/O flexibility product line for base transmission stations and other communications applications.
This connector system was recently designed into the OBSAI (Open Base Station Architecture Initiative) Appendix F specification.
The Slim I/O connector enables the designer to incorporate hard metric packaging practice, in telecommunications and computer systems, as well as instrumentation applications with slot pitch as narrow as 15mm, giving excellent performance and mechanical characteristics at an economical price.
The Slim I/O connector complies with IEC917 and IEC61076-4-101 and supports applications at datarates up to 3.125Gbit/s (differential signalling) with edge rates of 100ps.
