LC adapter is shielded against EMI
Tyco Electronics has developed a shielded, metal LC adapter for use in applications where EMI and RFI are a concern.

"Used with the included EMI gasket, our testing indicates significant improvement in shielding effectiveness".
Tyco Electronics shielded LC adapter is available with ceramic sleeves and is RoHS compliant.
A nonshielded metal adapter is offered in both screw-mount and reduced flange configurations for applications that do not require additional EMI shielding.
Standard plastic adapters are also available.
