Ultra Electronics Manufacturing Services has begun expanding its Weymouth facility to cater for its continued growth plans for 2004-05.

Ultra Electronics Manufacturing Services has begun expanding its Weymouth facility to cater for its continued growth plans for 2004-05.

Keith Franklin, Operations Manager stated: "We have recently invested in additional SMT equipment and increased floor-space in order to provide the resources we need to achieve our sales forecast".

"Our new SMT line will have leading edge capabilities including the ability to place 0201 components and odd shaped connectors".

Franklin continued: "We have tried where possible to 'future-proof' our manufacturing services thus providing our customers with technological headroom and value for money".

"A number of customers have already expressed interest in our 0201 placement capability which will be available from August 2004".
