Following the addition of selective soldering capabilities by Ultra CEMS in Q4 2005, the company has now added a further piece of capital equipment in the form of a new wave solder machine.
The company recently installed a Vitronics Soltec Delta wave machine as part of its planned capital equipment investment programme.
After an exhaustive review by its production engineering department the company concluded that the DeltaWave offered best overall value for money and allowed it to futureproof its wave solder service offering.
Mike Clements, Ultra CEMS Senior Process Engineer commented: "We selected the DeltaWave because of its robust design, the large UK installed base and its suitability for mixed model production".
"The Delta platform soldering system is designed for three-shift production with maximum uptime".
"We should be able to achieve consistently high yields because the Delta platform is configured with such features as digital motor control and complete maintenance accessibility".
The acquisition of the Delta wave machine is part of an ongoing investment plan at Ultra CEMS to ensure the company is always able to meet or exceed its customers' technological requirements.
