U-blox' LEA-5S GPS module features KickStart technology, which quickly detects GPS satellite,s even in difficult conditions such as those typically found in dense urban environments.

BG TandA's Sapphire uses a GPS module developed by u-blox.

The Sapphire is a joint development with Snooper and combines GPS technology with databases containing speed camera location data to alert users, via voice and visual alerts, of impending speed cameras, speed limits and the distance to the camera.

It measures 53 x 105 x 20mm and comes with a 1.75in LCD display with up to 10 screen colour combinations and offers a mute button, an earphone socket for motorcycle use and a built-in rechargeable battery which means that there are no trailing cables.

U-blox' LEA-5S GPS module features KickStart technology, which quickly detects GPS satellite,s even in difficult conditions such as those typically found in dense urban environments or areas with no direct line-of-sight to GPS satellites.

The Sapphire uses the Enigma speed camera database.

As new speed cameras are installed, they appear live on the Enigma database within 48 hours.

Users can download the new data immediately, 24 hours a day, every day, providing users with up to date coverage of most of Europe, including accident black spots, mobile laser sites and high-risk zones.

Enigma also provides users with location information about schools, hospitals and other services.
