Module racks up UPS power density
40kW hot-swappable module increases rack-mount UPS load power capacity to 200kW, enabling the highest available power density in the market.
Uninterruptible Power Supplies has added a 40kW UPS module to its scalable three-phase rack-format PowerWave9000DPA Series With the ability to house up to five modules in a single cabinet, the new 40kW hot-swappable module increases the load power capacity to 200kW (5 x 40kW), enabling a power density of over 340kW/m2, which is claimed to be the highest available in the market

UPS systems provide budget protection
Uninterruptible Power Supplies Limited launches an addition to its highly respected PowerWave range of UPS.
Following on the success of the 8, 12, 16 and 20kW modules, the 40kW PowerWave9000DPA uses advanced decentralised parallel architecture (DPA) to deliver total reliability with high output power density, the highest levels of system availability on the market, class leading operating efficiency and the lowest carbon footprint in the market.
Fully scalable, the 40kW module is offered in cabinet options that hold one, three or five rack-mounted three-phase UPS modules, each module is independent and self-reliant and automatically connects in parallel to provide a full capacity or N+n parallel redundant solution.
The DPA technology removes single points of failure, enabling near zero downtime and lowest mean time to repair, thus avoiding costly consequences of disruption to mission critical applications.
Further scalability can be implemented cost effectively by connecting two or more cabinets in parallel, to meet the needs of an increasing critical load.
The PowerWave9000DPA series provides class leading six-nines (99.9999%) availability critical power protection by uniquely combining the benefits of decentralised parallel architecture (DPA), hot-swap modularity and parallel redundancy.
The PowerWave9000DPA Series is the most advanced UPS solution available for business critical applications giving class leading power availability, the smallest footprint in its class, high efficiency (95 to 96% efficiency between 30 and 100% full load rating), low whole-life costs and low input current harmonic distortion (2 to 3% THDi between 30 and 100% full load rating).
The PowerWave9000DPA is also blade server friendly - capable of supplying loads with a power factor up to 0.9 leading without the need for UPS derating.
