Selettra was founded in 1987 by Massimo Sant'Angelo, Franco Martini and Marco Cavallo - all well respected members of the Italian electronics community.
The Milan-based company addresses all electronics manufacturing markets in Italy with particular focus on the country's prominent automotive industry - and the many subcontractors who service this buoyant sector.
Universal Instruments' Director of European Operations, Brad Bennett, intends to operate closely with Selettra to develop collaborative sales and support initiatives.
"We are successfully integrating our expanding distributor network with our own sales and support resources throughout Europe", he says.
"Working with Selettra will ensure we deliver the highest possible standards of service and customer value in Italy".
