Programme assists RoHS compliance
A new service is available to help organisations meet the European Union's RoHS Directive for electronics manufacturers scheduled to take full effect in July 2006.
The first one (which was oversubscribed) took place at the UL International (UK) Guildford office.
All delegates reported that the seminar was worthwhile and the agenda, which is honed to meet the delegates' needs when they register, fully met their expectations.
The audience profile not only included companies from all industries and sizes but also a representative from the National Weights and Measures Laboratory (the future enforcer of the RoHS Directive).
Other main players such as the Department of Trade and Industry are due to attend future events.
The schedule takes in: Manchester on 28th September 2005; West Midlands, 11th October; Chelmsford, 18th October; Stevenage, 20th October; Leeds/Sheffield, 26th October; Nottingham/Derby, 27th October; Glasgow, 9th October; Edinburgh, 10th October; Exeter, 15th November; Chepstow/Bristol, 16th November; and Newcastle Upon Tyne, 30th November.
