Clean-room expansion provides ultimate flexibility

UltraSource is expanding the clean-room facilities at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hollis, New Hampshire.

UltraSource is expanding the clean-room facilities at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hollis, New Hampshire.

Citing increased customer opportunities and business expansion, UltraSource has commenced building an additional 140m2 of clean-room manufacturing space.

The added area brings the total clean-room space at UltraSource to 560m2, and will allow for optimisation of lean manufacturing cells to enhance manufacturing productivity and product flow.

"This expansion marks yet another commitment to our continuous investment in lean manufacturing principles", said Michael Casper, President of UltraSource.

"It provides us the ultimate flexibility in our process flow so we can efficiently address our varied clients' needs".

The expanded facility will be divided equally into a class 1000 clean room and class 100,000 clean room.

UltraSource currently has 490m2 of class 1000 clean rooms.

Official opening of the expansion is slated for December 2006.
