Unipower, the Sussex- and Florida-based power supplies manufacturer, has appointed Acal Electronics to distribute its products in the UK and Ireland.
Acal is a leading value-added distributor providing specialist sales and marketing services for international suppliers in the fields of electronic components, information technology products, IT parts services and industrial control.
Acal will market a total of 28 different series of switching power supplies from Unipower in six categories: hot-swap single output, hot-swap multi-output, single-output switchers, multi-output switchers, modular/configurable switchers and legacy products.
Commenting on the appointment of Acal, Tim Worley, Managing Director of Unipower Europe Limited said, "The strong technical sales expertise and marketing input from Acal's Power Division can only provide a better service for our customers.
It will allow Unipower to concentrate on design and manufacture and the separate development of Unipower Telecom.
The new Gravitas Energy Systems for CTI (integrated computer and telecomms equipment) will not be part of the Acal remit.
These systems will be sold by the recently formed Unipower Telecom division".
