Hot-swap front-end power system squeezes into 2U
Unipower's new TMP Series front-end power systems provide up to 3600W output at 24, 28 or 48V DC for distributed power systems.
Unipower's new TMP Series front-end power systems provide up to 3600W output at 24, 28 or 48V DC for distributed power systems.
The front end consists of up to three hot-swap, 1200W modules in a 2U, 19in rack mount system chassis.
The system can be operated as either a 3600W nonredundant system or a 2400W, N+1 redundant unit.
The rack system provides an easy-connect interface to the host system.
The TMP Series has 6.6W per cubic inch power density and 85% efficiency.
Important operating features include an integral output ORing diode in each power module, input power factor correction, Class B EMI input filter, single-wire active current sharing between power modules and a +/-10% output voltage adjustment range from the front panel.
Among other features are AC and DC power-good LEDs, overload and short-circuit protection, zero minimum load and remote sensing.
Control and monitoring functions include AC and DC power-good logic, remote enable input and remote adjust (analogue) input.
Each module is self-cooled by an internal ball-bearing fan.
