Front end supply packs 450W into 1U case

Unipower has made a key addition to its popular PowerCassette family of 1U front ends.

Unipower has made a key addition to its popular PowerCassette family of 1U front ends The TPCG model is a 450W version available in three output voltages of 12, 24 and 48V DC, with output currents of 30.8A at 12V, 16.7A at 24V or 9.4A at 48V

Like all PowerCassette models, the TPCG is housed in an ultracompact case only 1U-high by 127mm wide and 254mm deep.

They are available as either chassis-mount or hot-swap versions.

"With the addition of these new models, Unipower's family of PowerCassette 1U front-ends now offers the broadest range available on the market today", says Nigel Frey of Unipower Europe.

A compatible 19in rack is available to house up to three units and produce 92.4A at 12V, 50.1A at 24V or 28.2 at 48V.

The supplies may also be operated in a 2+1 redundant mode, and have output ORing diodes which result in glitch-free, hot-swap operation to provide continuous power to the load.

Other operating features include universal 85 to 264V AC input voltage range, power factor correction and a Class B EMI filter.

The units have an auxiliary +5V DC, 250mA output, an integral LED status indicator, active current sharing and no minimum load requirement.

Control and monitoring features include enable/inhibit inputs; AC power fail, DC power good and overtemperature logic outputs; and an analogue current monitor output.

An optional I2C serial data output is available for monitoring operating functions.

Protection features include overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection.

Availability for the TPCG front-end modules is stock to 4 weeks.

The racks are ordered separately. Request a free brochure from Unipower Europe ...
