DC standby system is intelligent for
telecomms

Power systems bring together the intelligent control capabilities of the DSC1000 controller and the Gravitas ultracompact fully integrated DC standby system.

Unipower Telecom will introduce its latest DC power systems on Booth 20022 at Globalcomm 2006 (4th to 8th June, Chicago), the world's premier exhibition and conference for the information and communications technology industry The new Gravitas X75 and X100 DC power systems bring together the intelligent control capabilities of the recently announced DSC1000 controller and the Gravitas ultracompact fully integrated DC standby system designed to power a variety of telecomms and other systems requiring 12, 24 or 48V DC

According to Unipower's European Sales and Marketing Director Nigel Frey, the new systems are easy to install, compact in size, robust in operation and feature the control and communications features normally found in larger systems.

The complete 19in rack systems are only 1U (X75) and 2U (X100) high.

The digital controller section offers local or remote monitoring via an Ethernet TCP/IP connection with optional simple network management protocol (SNMP).

This allows the controller to measure and monitor as standard a wide variety of system parameters including rectifier failure, AC power fail, bus status, battery status, rectifier and load current, overvoltage and overtemperature.

Users can define up to six parameters of their choice.

The company will also be displaying its full range of telecom power component products including rectifiers, DC/DC bus convertors, DC/AC inverters, DC and AC power distribution units, LVD units and controllers.

Globalcomm 2006 will encompass the entire buying/selling chain for the global information and communications technology industry.

Globalcomm replaces Supercomm as the annual ICT industry event and the organisers expect around 20,000 delegates (including 20% from 100 countries outside the USA) and more than 450 exhibitors spread over 19,000m2. Request a free brochure from Unipower Europe ...
