The Astec 25W point-of-load DC/DC convertor from Ultimate Renaissance is a high-density device capable of meeting the precise voltage and fast transient requirements of high performance DSPs and microprocessor circuits.

The APC08 operates from input voltage ranges of 1.8 to 6.0 and 5.0 to 13V DC, and the single programmable output option is capable of delivering voltages of 0.9 to 3.6V at 8A Combining 90% efficiency with maximum output ripple below 75mV, output regulation for line, load and temperature of less than 3% and regulation to zero load, the mean time before failure of the device is in excess of 1Mh.

Supplied in a 3.30 x 1.27cm package, the APC08 will operate at temperatures between -40 and +85C and is compliant with all relevant UL, CUL and TUV safety approvals.

Astec's APC08 nonisolated convertor has a fixed switching frequency of 400kHz and uses open frame surface mount technology making it ideal for system board applications.

Control features include a TTL-compatible enable function.
