New from UR (Ultimate Renaissance), EOS V-series switching power supplies pack up to 40W into a lightweight, open-frame unit occupying surface area similar to a regular business card.
The main output can be set from 3.3 to 5.5V, and features remote sensing.
Output 3 is adjustable from -12 to -15V, output 4 is fully floating and offers adjustment from +/-3.3 to +/-25V.
Output 2 is fixed at +12V.
The LPQ142 delivers high efficiency and 3.45W/in3 power density in applications where compactness and configurability are prerequisites.
These include remote networking devices, single board computers and high-speed Ethernet appliances, industrial applications and automated test applications.
Full load efficiency is 75%, and the unit operates at full load over the ambient temperature range 0 to +50C.
Operation up to +70C is possible, with 2.5% derating per degree above 50C.
The open-chassis LPQ142 operates at full power with 30ft3/min forced air cooling.
Convection cooling is also possible, and a cover for the chassis is available as an option.
The unit carries VDE0805/EN60950 (IEC950), UL1950, CB, CSA, UL and NEMKO approvals, and features single wire current sharing, built-in EMI filtering, power fail and remote inhibit, plus overload protection.
There is also overvoltage protection, tracking outputs 1, 3 and 4.
