A new range of isolated DC/DC convertors for distributed power architectures includes low output voltage models for 1.8V supplies.

Ultimate Renaissance has introduced a range of isolated DC/DC convertors for distributed power architectures, including low output voltage models for 1.8V supplies The convertors deliver up to 8A output current in an industry-standard 8-pin format, to combine high power delivery and compatibility with existing board layouts

The new Laritek LT EC 2SC series is a family of small-outline, single-output convertors measuring 50.8 x 40.64mm in an open frame format.

Efficiency up to 91% allows designers flexibility when configuring power architectures to meet specific system requirements.

Two product streams are available, supporting either 24 or 48V nominal input voltage.

Both types deliver output power from 14.4W at 1.8V DC output, up to a maximum of 25W including 5V DC at 5.0A, 12V DC at 2.0A, and 15V DC at 1.6A.

Output regulation is plus or minus 0.5% of maximum for each model.

The LT EC 2SC delivers 100% of output power at operating temperatures up to 600C.

Maximum operating ambient temperature is 71C, with -2.5%/C derating above 60C.

There is continuous output short circuit protection, output current limiting, output overvoltage protection and thermal shutdown at case temperature 120C, and the fixed 300kHz switching frequency allows for easier EMC management.
