Labat takes charge

Alain Labat has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Vast Systems Technology Corp.

Industry veteran Alain Labat has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Vast Systems Technology Corp.

"Alain Labat will help drive Vast's global growth and consolidate our dominant position in the rapidly developing electronic systems engineering market", stated Graham Hellestrand, Vast's founder and former President.

"As the need for ESL technology grows, Alain's proven experience in markets and technologies relevant to Vast will provide the leadership and perspective required to accelerate Vast's solutions in the world market".

Hellestrand will continue as Chairman of the Board as well as Chief Technology and Strategy Officer.

Labat has over 20 years of EDA industry experience.

Prior to joining Vast Systems, Labat was CEO of TeraSystems and founder, President and CEO of Sequence Design.

He was previously with Synopsys as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing.

Labat holds an MBA from INSEEC, France, and an MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona.
