OCXO maintains performance in design shrink

A Vectron International product story

Oven-controlled crystal oscillator provides superior phase noise performance over a wide range of frequencies in a small 1in-square package.

Vectron International has added a low-noise VHF oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) to its C4550 OCXO family.

Vectron's C4550 OCXO provides customers in the military, test and measurement and telemetry industries with superior phase noise performance over a wide range of frequencies in a small, 1in-square package, enabling them to reduce the overall size of their products and simplify power management without sacrificing the performance levels typical of larger, 2in-square packages.

"Vectron works very closely with our customers in the mil/space, test and measurement, and telemetry markets to understand and meet their unique and continuously evolving needs", says Alan Mond, Vice President of Global Sales, Vectron.

"The expansion of our C4550 OCXO family underscores our commitment to developing the next generation technology that will help these customers competitively differentiate their products so they can meet and exceed market demands and grow their business".

The C4550 now has an available frequency range of 50 to 125MHz and temperature stabilities down to +/-30ppb from -40 to +85C.

At 100MHz, the C4550 is capable of meeting phase noise measurements less than -130dBc/Hz a 100Hz offset and less than -165dBc/Hz floor with a 5V supply.
