FCXO promises superior phase noise performance

Frequency controlled crystal oscillator enables customers to convert one input frequency into as many as four independent output frequencies to simplify clock distribution.

Vectron International has expanded its C3430 frequency controlled crystal oscillator (FCXO) family for use in wireline infrastructure, test and measurement, military applications and wireless infrastructure such as GSM, CDMA and W-CDMA basestations and point-to-point radio.

Leveraging an integrated crystal-based phase locked loop (PLL) circuit, Vectron's latest C3430 FCXO enables customers to convert one input frequency into as many as four independent output frequencies to simplify clock distribution, while its plug and play functionality helps organisations reduce total cost of ownership and research and development cycles.

Vectron's C3430 frequency convertor offers output frequencies up to 700MHz in a unique oscillator design, leveraging a proven FR4 surface mount packaging design, manufactured via a highly-automated process, the C3430 FCXO is an excellent addition to Vectron's existing range of Frequency Translators that are leading the industry.

Key features include: output frequencies from 10 to 700MHz; low jitter of 0.20ps RMS maximum from 12kHz to 20MHz and 0.70ps RMS maximum from 10Hz to 100kHz; a 13 x 20mm package; 3.3 and 5V supply voltage options; and operation from -40 to +85C.
