Wave ESD, the latest addition to Luxo Vega's extensive range of professional illuminated magnifiers has been designed to combat ESD.

Wave ESD, the latest addition to Luxo Vega's extensive range of professional illuminated magnifiers has been designed to combat ESD According to the latest research the annual cost of ESD related damages in the electronics industry is estimated to be in excess of GBP 3 billion and 40% of all component failures can be traced back to static electricity

The magnifier head is coated with a special layer of static dissipative polyurethane that is resistant to normal wear and tear.

In addition, the joints which give Wave its unique flexibility are constructed in such a way that the transfer of charges from head to arm is impossible.

With an extra earth wire connecting the head and arm guarantees no static charges can build up on the arm without being drained away to earth.

WAVE ESD has a 3.5 diopter (185%) lens that is also coated with a conductive layer that has the added benefit of reducing reflection for better viewing comfort.

The light source is provided by two independently switched low-energy 7W tubes which give an average lux level of 1390 with a focal length of 280mm.

Wave ESD has been tested, approved and certified by NEMKO and is compliant with EN 100 015-1.

A bench mounting clamp is supplied as standard although a full range of mounting alternatives is available.
