Verplex Systems has established European headquarters in Grenoble, France, and plans to open satellite offices in the UK, Germany, Sweden and Israel before the end of the year Heading up Verplex's European operations is Thierry Le Squeren who has recently been appointed European Director of Sales

The expansion of Verplex's European activity is viewed by Verplex's management as the next logical step in the company's development programme.

The decision to create a European staff was made in response to the increasing market demand for products contained within Verplex's EDA portfolio.

The new staff will comprise both sales and application engineers, and will mean that Verplex can offer its European customers enhanced levels of direct access to product sales and support.

This customer support service will encompass the whole of the company's current product portfolio.

This includes Verplex's pioneering BlackTie functional checker - the first full-chip formal design validation tool that accelerates the verification of SoC designs.

BlackTie forms part of Verplex's integrated verification solution along with the TuxedoLEC (logic equivalence checker) and LTX (logic transistor extraction) tools.

Le Squeren, who has 17 years of experience in sales and marketing, will have responsibility primarily for catalysing sales activity, developing strategic business partnerships and overseeing Verplex's aggressive European recruitment drive.

"In this phase of very rapid growth, it is important for Verplex's development to provide the best level of support and commercial relationships with our customer base in Europe", said Michael Chang, Verplex President and CEO.

"We are very pleased that Thierry has accepted to join our team.

He is very experienced and has a long track record of sales success in our industry", Chang added.
