Westcor, a division of Vicor, has added two new members to its LoPAC Series of low-profile AC/DC switchers In addition to the PFC Mini, now there are the flexible PFC MicroS and the PFC Micro

The PFC MicroS, measuring just 201.9 x 128.5 x 47.3mm, provides up to 600W of power from up to three outputs (one slot) for a power density of 8.02W/in3.

The single slot can contain one full size, two half size, or three quarter size Vicor DC/DC convertor bricks.

The PFC Micro, at 264.1 x 128.5 x 47.3mm, can provide up to 800W of output power for a power density of 8.17W/in3.

The two slot PFC Micro doubles the versatility of the PFC MicroS and can be configured for one to six outputs by selecting the appropriate Vicor DC/DC convertor bricks.

The PFC Mini, by way of contrast, measuring 309.9 x 152.4 x 44.5mm, provides up to 1500W of output power from three slots for a power density of 11.7W/in3.

Each of the three slots can contain one full size or two half size Vicor DC/DC convertor bricks.

The LoPAC Series of configured-to-order power supplies all feature a power-factor-corrected front end, an EMI filter, an offline single-phase customer interface with associated housekeeping circuitry and a self-contained cooling fan.

All units accept universal input of 85-264V AC, 47-500Hz, or 100-300V DC (100-380V DC for the PFC Mini).
