Filter ensures quiet point-of-load
regulation

QPO-2 is easy to apply and provides the user with features that can be tailored to optimise the product's performance to meet their system needs.
It is targeted to applications such as telecomms basestations and handheld power, distributed point-of-load power systems, sensors requiring low-noise power and medical instrumentation.
The QPO-2 operates over an output voltage range of 0.3 to 5.5V DC and requires an external input bias voltage above the output voltage of 7V for proper operation.
It is compatible with most switching power supplies and convertors and regulates the load by using either the remote sensing feature of a convertor or the adjust pin of the QPO-2.
The adjust feature will correct the convertor's output voltage to compensate for the headroom voltage drop of the filter if remote sensing is not available or not preferred.
The headroom setting of the filter dramatically reduces the capacitance needed at the point of load to provide the equivalent transient performance and ripple reduction.
Dimensions of the SiP are 25 x 25 x 4.5mm with LGA mounting.
