VIA Technologies and S3 Graphics are to sponsor the DreamHack 2005 event, taking place from 24th to 27th November in Sweden, and will host the first ever large-scale Quake 4 LAN tournament.

Quake 4 looks set to be one of the most important professional tournament games in 2006, and has been included in the official 2006 worldwide tournament schedule of the Cyber Professional League (CPL), one of the leading e-sports competition organisers.

The VIA Quake 4 Tournament will give pro gamers the opportunity to play against a large field of competitors for cash prises, as well testing their skills against members of the renowned all-girls gaming team, girlz 0f destruction at the VIA and S3 Graphics booth.

"All eyes will be on Sweden and DreamHack next month, as professional gamers get their first chance to face off against each other in the daunting Quake 4", said Timothy Brown, International Marketing Manager at VIA Technologies.

"VIA is proud to take an active role in supporting competitive e-sports and encouraging gamers to discover the performance of our high end technologies".

"The new VIA Quake 4 Tournament crowd at this year's event gives DreamHack a tremendous boost", declared Ola Stafhammer, DreamHack Co-ordinator.

"As DreamHack becomes larger every year, it's important we engage the international community and corporate sponsors like VIA who share our vision".
