A closer look at solder at Productronica

Vision Engineering will be demonstrating its entire range of ergonomically optimised stereo inspection microscopes at Productronica 2003.

Vision Engineering will be demonstrating its entire range of ergonomically optimised stereo inspection microscopes at Productronica 2003 When viewing PCBs and lead-free solder joints, the image clarity and resolution of these systems has made them the industry standard choice for electronics inspection

When repeatedly inspecting solder joints, a comfortable working position and reduced eye fatigue ensures reliable and repeatable inspections.

Lynx, from Vision Engineering allows a much greater freedom of operator head movement which can dramatically reduce fatigue.

Operators can quickly transfer their gaze from the viewed image to the soldered component, without the need to replace glasses whilst minimising eye strain.

The large depth of field (the area in focus to the operator) provided by Lynx means that soldered components can be inspected with a bright, well contrasted image even when there is some variation in the height of the solder joints.

In addition, the oblique viewing option allows solder joints to be viewed from various rotated angles, offering inspection all the way around a component.

Anyone visiting Productronica is invited to bring along some solder samples to find out for themselves how Lynx can benefit inspection procedures. Request a free brochure from Vision Engineering ...
