Vitelec is now offering a multigang MCX connector.
Reporting directly to European Sales and Marketing Director, Peter Walmsley, Roberts will be responsible for all UK distribution sales.
His new role at Vitelec will use his extensive industry expertise and concentrate on developing business through a highly focused distribution strategy, which has already seen the appointment of new specialist distributors.
With an intimate understanding of the connector and cable assembly market, Roberts will provide the company with considerable industry knowledge with which to develop Emerson's business in the UK.
"Following Vitelec's rebranding as part of the Emerson Network Power Connectivity Division, Peter's appointment represents another significant development for the company", commented Peter Walmsley.
"In addition to having a wealth of experience in electronics distribution, he has a proven track record within the connector marketplace, and as our recently launched prime distributor programme rolls out into Europe, Peter's remit will be extended beyond the UK.
His appointment will be of real benefit to the ongoing success of the company".
