Transtech DSP has entered into an agreement to become a wholly owned part of the Vmetro group, a company quoted on the Norwegian stock exchange.
Transtech DSP's technology and product offerings within the areas of digital signal processing (DSP) equipment represent a strong complement to Vmetro's data recorder and I/O solutions.
This enables the combined entity to provide customers worldwide with even greater support for high performance systems solutions for radar and sonar processing, digital software radio, spectrum analysis, telecommunications, medical imaging, as well as other advanced tests and measurements.
Thus Transtech DSP and Vmetro have identified substantial sales synergies for both companies.
Vmetro and Transtech DSP expect to establish substantial mutual sales synergies by bringing the two companies together.
Most systems where a recorder or I/O solution from Vmetro is needed also involve digital signal processing (DSP).
Similarly, a large number of DSP systems as offered by Transtech DSP require recorders or I/O solutions as offered by Vmetro.
The combined group will be in a unique position to offer complete signal processing solutions with integrated state-of-the-art recording capabilities.
The integrated solutions reduce risk and time to market for customers and represent a very competitive offering in the market.
Vmetro has established strong distribution networks in the USA, Europe and certain countries in Asia.
These will be excellent sales channels for Transtech DSP products and the combined solutions.
The stronger market presence is expected to increase the Transtech DSP revenues, particularly in the USA.
Vmetro has a small operation in the UK whereas Transtech DSP represents 15 years experience in the UK market with established penetration of key accounts.
The new combined entity in the UK is expected to be a major player in the market and provide significant opportunities for Vmetro products.
The experienced management team and engineers from Transtech DSP will strengthen the capabilities of the combined group, ensuring continued technological leadership and growth.
