Convertor adds efficiency to critical applications

A VPT product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team May 20, 2005

The new DVCH Series of DC/DC convertors delivers just 1.5W in the most efficient, small-size package available today for use in critical-reliability applications.

VPT is introducing a new ultra-low-power-output DC/DC convertor.

The new DVCH Series of DC/DC convertors delivers just 1.5W in the most efficient, small-size package available today for use in critical-reliability applications.

"Usually noise and efficiency are sacrificed for small size, wide input voltage range, and full military operating range", explained Michael Bosmann, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for VPT.

"Our patented technology enables us to deliver a convertor that provides a higher power conversion efficiency and carries an output ripple that is one-sixth the noise of our closest competitor - two performance values that are extremely important to our customers in their system designs".

Manufactured in VPT's facility qualified to MIL-PRF-38534, the new DVCH DC/DC convertor is built to withstand the rigors of flight in aircraft and space applications.

The DVCH model is available now starting at $190 per unit in OEM quantities.
