Filter module covers transatlantic military specs
VPT has a new combination EMI filter and transient suppression module that meets stringent military standards for the world's largest defence markets - the USA and Europe.
Both new filters satisfy the Department of Defense's "commercial-off-the-shelf" directive in terms of low cost, high performance and satisfaction of stringent military and avionics industry requirements.
Specifically intended for use in harsh environments with extreme shock, vibration, and temperature cycling, the new filters feature: up to 20A maximum current; up to 300W output power; a wide input voltage range from 0 to 50V per MIL-STD-704, 28V nominal; and are manufactured to J-STD-001, ISO9001 and IPC-A-610.
Operating over a wide -55 to +100C temperature range as standard, the filters come in six-sided rugged metal enclosures and provide 45dB minimum attenuation at 500kHz.
All devices will withstand high input transient voltages (80V for 1s per MIL-STD-704A) and meets MIL-STD-461C/D/E conducted emissions requirements.
The new units are immediately available.
Pricing begins at US $198.00 in OEM quantities.
