A new family of dual SPDT and dual SPST analogue switches is designed for audio, video and data-stream applications.

Vishay Intertechnology has released a family of new dual SPDT and dual SPST analogue switches designed for audio, video and data-stream applications Offering low on-resistance and high bandwidth in the space-saving Micro Foot package through the full voltage range of 1.8 to 5.5V, the six new switches are aimed at end products including cellphones, PDAs, media players and notebook computers

The DG35xx family of analogue switches released today is built on a submicron high-density process for low-power consumption and high performance at low-voltage levels.

The six switches are offered in Micro Foot packaging with lead (Pb)-free bump terminations in 3 x 3 and 4 x 3 configurations.

All six analogue switches are 1.6V logic compatible within their full operational voltage range.

This combination of Micro Foot packaging and low-voltage logic makes the DG35xx family of switches well suited for low-voltage portable devices.

The dual SPDT DG3516/17 switches feature a 300MHz 3dB bandwidth, while the dual SPST DG3537/38/39/40 switches feature a 360MHz 3dB bandwidth suitable for video and data-stream applications.

Their low on-resistance, 1ohm flatness and 0.2ohm matching - key for achieving low distortion, signal fidelity and high linearity - provide excellent performance for audio and video applications such as speaker switching, port sharing and USB switching.

The DG35xx family offers a full rail-to-rail signal swing range and ESD protection over 2kV according to method 3015.7.

Their operating temperature range is -40 to +85C.

Samples and production quantities of the new analogue switches are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.

Pricing for US delivery in 1000-piece quantities is $0.65.
