Switches and multiplexers promise precision
Precision low-voltage monolithic CMOS analogue switching ICs combine a wide voltage range, low leakage and tight on-resistance matching for precision signal switching and routing.
Three new precision low-voltage monolithic CMOS analogue switching ICs combine a wide voltage range, low leakage and tight on-resistance matching for precision signal switching and routing.
The new devices comprise an eight-channel analogue multiplexer (DG9051), a dual four-channel analogue multiplexer (DG9052), and a triple two-channel single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) analogue switch (DG9053).
The new devices are intended for use in end products including cellphones, communication systems, modems, data acquisition systems, automated test equipment and automotive systems.
All three devices feature a wide input voltage range of 2.7 to 12V for single-supply implementations and +/-2.7 to +/-6V for dual-supply implementations.
Built on Vishay's proprietary high-density process, the new devices offer the advantage of bidirectional signal and rail-to-rail analogue signal handling.
These characteristics, along with the wide voltage range, offer significant flexibility to circuit designers.
The CMOS logic-compatible control inputs of the DG9051 DG9052, and DG9053 have guaranteed 2V logic high/0.8V logic low when operating from a single 5V or dual +/-5- power supplies, and 2.4V logic high/0.8V logic low with 12V power supplies.
On-resistance ranges as low as 30ohm, depending on the power-supply configuration, with guaranteed low on-resistance matching as low as 5ohm.
Packaged in the TSSOP-16 case, the devices have lead (Pb)-free terminations and are pin-compatible with 74HC4051/2/5.
They operate over a temperature range of -40 to +85C.
Samples and production quantities of the new analogue switches/multiplexers are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.
Pricing for US delivery in 1000-piece quantities is $0.86.
