Devices combine ultra-low charge injection from 0.5 to 1.0pC, low switch capacitance of 2 and 3pF, leakage currents from 0.25 to 5nA and typical on-resistance from 66 to 72ohm.

Eight new high-frequency low-charge-injection analogue multiplexers and switches are designed for precision instrumentation applications They are also the first devices of their kind to be offered in the leadless 1.8 x 2.6mm miniQFN package in addition to standard TSSOP and SOIC packages

The four new analogue multiplexers and four new analogue switches combine an ultra-low charge injection from 0.5 to 1.0pC, low switch capacitance of 2 and 3pF, leakage currents from 0.25 to 5nA and typical on-resistance from 66 to 72ohm.

Their specifications make them ideal for high-frequency analogue switching, high-speed multiplexing, audio and video routing, filtering, gain and frequency selection, level shifting and calibration.

End products will include precision instrumentation, industrial controls, medical instrumentation, telecom and datacomms equipment, automated test equipment and high-speed communications systems.

The new multiplexer offering includes the four-channel DG604, the dual four-channel DG4052A, the eight-channel DG4051A and the triple two-channel DG4053A.

The new analogue switches are the quad SPST DG611A, DG612A and DG613A, which offer improved charge injection, on-resistance and standby current compared with the industry-standard DG611, as well as eliminating the need for a VL pin.

The new DG636 can be used as a dual SPDT analogue switch or dual 2:1 multiplexer.

All the devices are designed to operate from +2.7 to +12V single supplies, or from +/-2.5 to +/-5.0V dual supplies.

They are fully specified at +3, + 5 and +/-5V.

All control logic inputs have guaranteed 2V logic high limits when operating from +5 or +/-5V supplies, and are low-voltage logic compatible when operating from a 3V supply.

The multiplexers and switches conduct equally well in both directions and offer rail-to-rail analogue signal handling.

They feature an extended operating temperature from -40 to +125C, and are available in a variety of packages including 14- and 16-lead TSSOPs, 16-pin narrow SOICs and space-saving miniQFNs.

Samples and production quantities of the new analogue switches and multiplexers are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.

Pricing for US delivery in 1000-piece quantities ranges from US $0.75 to $0.85.
