The BTTracer/Trainer V2.1, from Computer Access Technology Corp (CATC) is the industry's first Bluetooth analyser capable of complete capture, decode and analysis of version 1.2 of the Bluetooth protocol.

The BTTracer/Trainer V2.1 fully supports the adaptive frequency hopping capabilities in version 1.2 of the Bluetooth specification, which enables the coexistence of 802.11 WLANs and Bluetooth networks.

The BTTracer/Trainer V2.1 features a dual radio option, allowing simultaneous debugging of devices running the new version 1.2 Bluetooth specification and legacy devices operating to version 1.1.

High-level protocols can be debugged with support for scatter/gather; the analyser offers nonintrusive probing and full piconet participation; and errors can be injected to test the robustness of the device.

Other features include scatter/gather support and a novel HCI sniffer that allows the data and control signals sent to the baseband chip to be integrated with piconet traffic.

The BTTracer/Trainer V2.1 supports a wide range of protocols and profiles, including serial port, file transfer, headset, headset gateway, LAN access, dial-up networking, fax, PAN, HCRP and intercom.

VSystems has been appointed to distribute the complete range of CATC test and measurement solutions for computer I/O protocols.

CATC is a market leader in Bluetooth, InfiniBand, PCI Express and USB protocol analysis and also supplies products for Fibre Channel, IEEE1394, SCSI and Serial ATA.
