Surface-mount varistors provide compact
protection
The Keko PV Series of varistors are plastic encapsulated surface-mount devices designed to protect electronic equipment against high-voltage surges in low- and medium-voltage applications.
The Keko PV Series of varistors, now available exclusively in the UK from VTM, are plastic-encapsulated surface-mount devices designed to protect electronic equipment against high-voltage surges in low- and medium-voltage applications These new transient-suppression devices are available in two sizes - 8.0 x 0.5 x 3.4 mm and 10.0 x 8.0 x 4.7 mm - offering direct surface-mount equivalents to 5 and 7mm leaded-disc varistors, but with significant dimensional and weight savings on the board

Surface-mount varicons for transient suppression
Now available exclusively in the UK is the comprehensive range of Keko varicon devices, designed to provide circuit protection against surge voltages and ESD effects.
The varistors cover operating voltages from 11 to 300V RMS (14 to 385V DC), and feature maximum surge currents from 100 to 1200A.
They are rated for a continuous operating temperature of +85C.
Thermoplastic encapsulation is non-flammable to the requirements of the UL 94V-0 standard, while the contacts are made of easily solderable tinned copper sheet.
VDE and CSA-UL approvals are pending.
The devices are available in tape-and-reel packaging for use with automatic pick-and-place machines.
