The Keko PV Series of varistors are plastic encapsulated surface-mount devices designed to protect electronic equipment against high-voltage surges in low- and medium-voltage applications.
Subcontract electronic manufacturing services
VTM (UK) is expanding its scope of operation by offering a subcontract electronic manufacturing service to industry.
This capability, along with their bidirectional operation, fast response time, ruggedness and reliability, offers a number of benefits over traditional circuit protection solutions such as Zener diodes.
The Keko range includes the standard ZV Series, covering DC voltages from 3 to 170V in chip sizes from 0603 to 2220 with maximum single-pulse (8/20us) surge currents up to 1200A; the ZVE Series for ESD suppression, with low capacitance values and short response times in chip sizes from 0603 to 1210; and the low-profile medium-voltage DV Series, for voltages from 60 to 300V RMS in chip sizes 3225 and 4032 with maximum single-pulse (8/20us) surge currents up to 1200A.
A dedicated range (AV Series) for the automotive industry is also available, featuring supply voltages of 12, 24 or 42V in chip sizes from 0805 to 2220.
All Keko surface-mount varicons incorporate silver/palladium end terminations, which provide excellent solderability and leaching properties and are more environmentally friendly than nickel barrier devices.
