VTM (UK) is expanding its scope of operation by offering a subcontract electronic manufacturing service to industry.

With production being carried out in the Far East backed up by a high level of engineering expertise in the UK, VTM can offer a high-quality, cost-effective service to suit a wide range of customers' manufacturing requirements.

"Our aim is to provide a complete electronic manufacturing service to industry - whether standard or customised, simple or complex", says Phil Witten, Manager of VTM's manufacturing operations.

"In essence, we are offering a one-stop shop, where the customer places the order and receives a fully tested product".

With VTM acting as a single point of contact within the UK, customers' project management tasks are reduced, with all requirements, from point of order through to delivery, being co-ordinated from the company's Amersham headquarters.

Following manufacture, finished PCBs or modules can be dispatched direct to the customer, or shipped to VTM for onward delivery.

Alternatively, where there is an ongoing requirement, a stock holding can be maintained at VTM, to be called off as required.

The service ranges from simple PCB assembly through to complete box-built and turnkey solutions.

Manufacturing capabilities include through-hole PCB assembly, surface-mount devices and chip-on-board mounting.

Other services include extensive burn-in and test facilities, plastic injection moulding, metal fabrication and machining, painting and printing, and packaging and shipping.
