VTM (UK) can now offer a comprehensive range of low-cost resistors on an ex-stock basis.

"Customers have traditionally seen these classes of resistors as product lines for which long lead times were the norm", comments Steve Underdown, Marketing Director of VTM: "We believe that by making the investment necessary for in-depth stocks of these items we are providing a service to the industry that no other manufacturer or distributor can match".

The product range available encompasses precision, ceramic and wirewound devices, including higher-power (up to 30W) versions with applications in industrial drives, brown goods and process control.

The precision metal-film resistors offer tolerances down to +/-0.1% and temperature coefficients of +/-15ppm/degC, with resistance values from 10ohm to 2Mohm.

Ceramic resistors include axial and vertical glass-fibre cored pluggable types for power applications, with ratings from 2 to 30W, values up to 82kohm and 5 or 10% tolerance.

Fusing resistors in ceramic casings and flame-retardant coatings are also available for safety-critical applications.

Wirewound resistors include axial ceramic-cased versions, long-leaded axial types, silicon-coated power resistors, vertical types for PCB mounting, flameproof power resistors, and moulded axial devices.

All devices are available over the full range of industry standard values and ratings.
